Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to install a pool?
It really all depends on your backyard, your specific choices, weather, and so many other factors.  For a simple 6x10 vinyl pool with a small interlocking patio surround, it will take 3-6 weeks in perfect conditions
Do you use subcontractors?
It depends on the project, but sometimes we do.  All of our subcontractors are vetted to make certain they met our professional standards to make certain we are happy, and most importantly, the client is happy and has everything done properly for them.
Do you have a warranty?
We do offer a warranty on installation under the appropriate conditions.
Where are you located?
We are located where you are!  As we always meet clients at their home so that we can see their yard, and our actual work is in the client's yard, we don't have a need for a formal meeting space.  However, we do have locations in Halton Hills for our shop and offices.
What form of payments do you accept?
At this time, we accept Cheque's, Bank Drafts, and Electronic Fund Transfer.  If you want to pay via Visa, Debit, or other payment option, please speak with the Sales Team.
Who do I contact if I have questions during my project?
When you are our client, we are in contact with you throughout the project.   Whether you speak with the onsite Project Manager, or if you speak to the Sales Team, we will make certain to address any and all questions promptly.
Are you a Store?
No.  We are not a retail store, and we do not sell products alone.  However, we do refer our clients to appropriate vendors if they wish to purchase something additional after project completion, or if it is a product outside of our standard offer(s).
Why should i invest in hardscaping?
For quick clarification, hardscaping is the non-living part of your landscape design - including patios, walkways, driveways, cabana's, pergola's, pavilions, fire pits, retaining walls and more.  It works in tandem with landscaping (the living aspect of the design) to create a functional, clean, and beautiful outdoor living environment while boosting the usable square footage of your home, increasing the curb appeal of your home, and reduces your yard maintenance (less lawn to mow).
Is a hardscaping project expensive?
Every homeowner is going to be concerned about the cost of any home improvement project.  The unfortunate answer is ... that it depends!  Costs vary widely based on the material choices, the size of the project, aspects of the project (does it include a pool, structure, etc.) and the complexity of the design.
How are stone patios installed?
he installation of stonescape patios (interlock, pavers, flag stone, natural stone, etc) involves multiple steps.  The specific process will vary depending on the material and design choices, as well as the existing nature of your yard.  However, the basic steps to installing hardscapes are as follows;
The area where the patio will be installed is prepared by removing the existing materials down below the top soil level, grading and then compacting the soil to create a level surface and a solid and stable base for your patio. Then a layer of base material is spread over the prepared area and compacted as well.  Now comes the part the homeowners get excited about seeing, the hardscape materials begin to be laid over the base material, and will be cut and shaped as needed, to fit the space perfectly, to make the design come to life.   Once the hardscape materials are in place, they are compacted for a final time, and any gaps or joints are filled with polymeric sand to seal the joints to prevent stones from shifting, and to prevent weeds from growing through the cracks.  If you wish, there is an option to seal your patio to protect it from stains  as well (from decomposing leaves, tree fruit droppings, dropping of greasy food or beverages that stain).
Do I require a permit?
Permits requirements are different depending on the city and project scope.  If you are installing a pool, a structure (like a cabana, pavilion, etc.), or are installing a larger scale project, you will require a permit(s).  If you need to access your yard through public space (common green area, city property, etc.) you will require a permit.
Don't worry though, we will make certain to help you understand what permit(s) are required and work with you to get that step completed properly.
